Designing and building through the grayest summer ever!

We’re hiring a part time Office Assistant during the grayest summer ever…

First order of business is we are hiring a part time Office Assistant. This is a twenty hour a week commitment that could be a unique opportunity for the right person.  This person should be task oriented, very reliable, and last but not least they must be quick with technology.  We are mostly paperless and use a lot of apps these days. When did this app business get so out of control by the way?  Good lord we use a lot of apps.  Here is a link to the job description please pass along if you know anyone for which this might be a good fit.

Big welcome to Designer Rebecca.

We have a new Designer! Welcome to Rebecca Wiscombe!  Rebecca has what some would call, mastery level skills in Revit and AutoCAD. She is ever current on the constantly evolving tech in the design field.   We are so happy she decided to come work with us.  Rebecca has worked at two local high profile architecture firms since 2017 and knows the ins and outs of how to make a killer set of beautiful (and buildable!) plans.  She has a BA in studio art from UCSB and an MA in Architecture from The Southern California Institute of Architecture. She is highly skilled in the arena of interior design as well with a great eye, and a creative streak.  She is a very lovely presence and brings a high level grounding with her wherever she goes.  She also brings her small dog to work who  has really brightened up the office too.  She also has one of my all time favorite names.

It turns out this was a larger undertaking than I had imagined.  Since this person is so super special there is just no way I can release this interview into the wild without some hard work to make it really a worthy piece of sound.  Lots of good stuff about building in SB, history, and what we are facing with current building policy.  So please accept my apologies and know it’s being worked on.
