No Job Too Small (Mostly)

Dear all,

Just stopping by to check in and remind you that Kellow Construction is here for all your projects—big or small! Today, I want to put a little spotlight on the smaller jobs that we’re genuinely interested in and would be honored to help you with.

Of course, we absolutely love the large-scale remodels, ADUs, and epic kitchen or bath overhauls. These projects are so rewarding for us, and they make up the lion’s share of what we do.  As the kids say, these projects are "sweet!"

But we’re also humbled and grateful for the opportunity to take on smaller projects. Smaller projects tend to come with less stress, quicker turnarounds, and sometimes even a bit of fun! Smaller jobs bring us closer to the heart of our community and allow us to connect with more of you—the people who make Santa Barbara such a special place to live.

One recent example we’re especially proud of: we just wrapped up a large deck for a kind elderly woman with Alzheimer's and her brother in the lower Riviera area. He was concerned about her safety, and we were thrilled to help make his sister's home a little safer and more comfortable. This project brought us so much joy, and it’s a reminder of why we do what we do.

As business owners dedicated to the Santa Barbara community, it’s incredibly important to us to serve all residents, not just those with large projects. We’re committed to helping Santa Barbara flourish—not just as a beautiful destination, but as a thriving place for its residents. It’s meaningful to us to teach our son to be inclusive, kind, and open, and we want Kellow Construction (after all, it often feels like our second child) to reflect those values in our work and our relationships as well.

Now, I wish we could say there’s truly no job too small, but that’s not entirely true. We can’t always take on the super small or more "handyman" type scopes, though creating a handyman division is something we’ve dreamed about! Some jobs or scopes just might not be the best fit for us, and our availability for smaller projects depends on where we’re at with our larger commitments. That said, we still encourage you to reach out and ask! We typically can accommodate quick timelines and love knocking things out for our clients.

You can easilyschedule a consultation—a mellow, zero-commitment 20-minute ish call with Kiel—HERE. I know he’d love to hear what you’ve got and see if we can help. And even if it turns out we’re not the best fit, we’re happy to point you in the right direction to other good folks who might be.

Thank you, to our clients and friends for the love and support. We’re grateful to be part of this community and to serve you all.

Sincerely,
Emily Kellow
