First Quarter Check-In🗓️, Easter Miracles, Exciting Horizons

Dear all,

I will begin by saying how much joy this weather is bringing to all of us at Kellow Construction.  After I post this blog / send this email, I think I will put on my wide-brimmed hat, my headphones and my book, and walk down to our post office box and get the mail.  An errand I enjoy, especially when the weather is nice like this.  I love the post office, I love mail, I love walking, and I love listening to things on my phone, so it all comes together as a perfect errand for me.

We just left the first quarter of the year and how lovely it is been.  Our projects are running so smoothly, our clients are happy, our company is healthy, our team is healthy, and things seem to be in a place of harmony and peace.  This is not by accident, we work incredibly hard and fight for this every day.  We love what we do and we are here to make Kellow Construction a refuge not only for our clients, but for us and our team.  It's cheesy, but true.

We have a few new clients, some projects that will be breaking ground soon, and others that will be breaking ground not soon at all, as it goes.

Also, our taxes are done.  That alone is something to celebrate.  Do you know a CPA that you love, is aggressive with their returns, and you feel positive about who is taking new clients?  Does this even exist?  If this does exist and you want to do us a kindness, please send them our way because I think it may be time for a change.

Moving on, we have a new project at a property of great local nostalgia in pre-construction right now and I am very excited to break ground and do a big expose on it once the permit is issued.  I love local buildings that house history and memories for those of us who have had the blessing of being around Santa Barbara a very long time (35 years + is my definition of this at this moment).  It is exciting to me that this project came to us, and also exciting to our clients who have been struggling to get this project off the ground.  We seem to be the right team for the job to push this project into production and alleviate the zero income limbo and stress that our client has been in for many years.  A win win which always feels SO good.

We have had several site visits and intro calls in the last few weeks for other potential projects.  Our schedule is filling up so if you or someone you know has something coming up and would like to be on our client roster send them our form submission, or give them our phone number (805-225-3310) and tell them to hop to it.

Lastly, I would like to announce an Easter surprise / sorpresa de Pascuas: we got our son a bunny!  His name is Pascual.  He is so sweet and soft. He is from Buns and gets along so well with our cat Franniewho is from ASAP.  He is indoor free range, and hops around our living room.  The greatest miracle of all is that he is, in fact, potty trained (!) as are most of the bunnies at BUNS!  Check them out, maybe a bunny will bring as much joy to you as it has to us.

Thank you for reading!

Sincerely
Emily Kellow
